An efficient herding dog, the Corgi was developed in Wales in a size to get in under the kicks of recalcitrant cattle, nip their heels, and drive them. Corgis come in two varieties, this is the Pembroke (without a tail). The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is longer, has larger ears and a long, luxurious tail. (I'm working on it!!)
